Since yesterday, the feed aggregator, Lifestream.fm, belongs to the Mister Wong family. Lifestream makes it easy for you to collect and publish all your online activity in one place. This way your friends can instantly keep up-to-date whenever you write a new blog entry, post pictures on flickr, post videos on YouTube, write on twitter, are active on facebook, and bookmark on Mister Wong. Over 40 services are supported allowing you to choose all of your favorite feeds.
The principle behind it is simple: Many online services allow access to user content outside of the original site through RSS feeds. This makes it possible to see the latest pictures on flickr, videos on YouTube, and even the newest bookmarks on Mister Wong. All you have to do is sign up for an account on Lifestream, just put in your username for the services you use, and your feed will be aggregated. Here’s an example :)

Mister Wong loves art, so we’ve become a media partner of the NEW LIFE BERLIN Contemporary Art Festival curated by the art community WOOLOO.org. The festival will take place in Berlin from June 1-15 and is open to participation from international artists. If you are an artist and are interested in taking part in NEW LIFE BERLIN, you can. They are calling for participation for the following projects:
FICTIVE DAYS,a project developed by Peruvian artists Sergio Zevallos, is a two-week performance studio for the collective research of fictional characters. Six to eight artists/researchers will be selected to live and work closely together in a large Berlin apartment and adopt and maintain the identity of a mainstream film character. To participate in this project or for more information go to: www.wooloo.org/fictivedays
THE SANDWICH BOX is an ongoing, collaborative artwork and has been circulating between artists around the world since 2004, but this is the very first time that the project is launched in its current form. As part of the NEW LIFE BERLIN Contemporary Art Festival, artists anywhere in the world can apply to obtain THE SANDWICH BOX suitcase for one week. To request the SANDWICH BOX or for more information go to: www.wooloo.org/sandwichbox
OPEN DIALOGUES: NEW LIFE BERLIN is a critical writing initiative exploring online and offline communities during the NEW LIFE BERLIN Festival, in which local and international writers are asked to apply for taking part in discussing and developing critical responses to festival. In collaboration with the writers selected, OPEN DIALOGUES: NEW LIFE BERLIN will investigate the implications and role of critical writing as a discourse in relation to communities of contemporary art, and will develop organic responses to the festival itself as it unfolds. To participate in this project or for more information go to: www.wooloo.org/opendialouges
CABAN UNNOS: IT’S NOW-OR-NEVER, a project conceived and developed by the Sheffield-based art group No Fixed Abode, invites artists and other participants to collaborate on building a one-night-house in Berlin during the NEW LIFE BERLIN Festival. To participate in this project or for more information go to: www.wooloo.org/cabanunnos

We´re please to announce the newest feature on Mister Wong: Bookmark info and comment page. Now you can get a complete overview of a saved website all on one page. The info page not only gives you a snapshot of the site, but also interesting information about the URL, such as how many users have saved it, the most popular tags for that site, and even comments!
That’s right, now you can add a comment to any website saved on Mister Wong, even if it’s not one of your own. But leaving comments is no fun unless others are able to respond to your opinion by adding their two cents.
Check out a few info pages now!

We’ve made a new change to the buddy feature. Now you can either add a user as your buddy or just put them on your watchlist.
It’s great to have buddies, especially ones, who bookmark great sites. You can always surf their bookmarks to discover new and interesting sites to save to your own. It’s also great to have buddies to share your bookmarks with. But beyond surfing, sharing and saving, you can also use social bookmarking for info management. Becoming buddies with your colleague, for example, means that you can always keep each other up-to-date with important links for your work.
Here’s how the new buddy page looks:

Adding a buddy is simple, just click on the “Add buddy” link under a user’s name and send them a buddy request. You can even add a personal message. That user will get a short message and can confirm the request. Then you’re buddies!
You’ll see any unconfirmed buddy requests in the upper right-hand corner of the page. Just click on the link to go to the confirmation page to accept.
You can also keep track of interesting users’ bookmarks by adding them to your watchlist.
Make a buddy and wong the web :)

The dice have been tossed! We’ve made our decision and today we are crowning the winner of our Mister Wong Logo Contest.
After Mister Wong users chose the top 12 out of over 1800 submitted designs, and the international jury chose the top 3 finalists, the final decision was made by the Mister Wong Team.
The important criteria for us was, of course, the relation to the name “Mister Wong”, the functionality of the logo as a Favicon, as well, in recognizability, but also the natural trademark criteria.
Therefore, we chose the design by Hu Nan from China in a reduced version and are excited to present it to the public: Mister Wong’s New Logo! :)

In the next few days, the logo will be placed on all of Mister Wong’s sites. The new Wong buttons can be found here: http://www.mister-wong.com/stuff/buttons/.
WONG THE WEB and Happy Holidays
from your Wong Team!
