This week’s Spotlight is Andy Mckee. If you have never heard of Andy McKee, then we suggest watching the video above. It is nothing less than amazing. Andy has a true talent and a unique style as an American fingerstyle guitarist. Andy started playing guitar at a young age and his influences led him to his style today, which has won him great success. The above video, Drifting, has had over 18 million viewers on YouTube and at one point, Andy held the #1, #2 and#3 spots for Top-Rated Videos of All Time on YouTube.
Andy, who is with the independent record label Candyrat, has recorded four solo albums, as well as one with Don Ross, and also played on Josh Groban’s 2007 Christmas CD “Noël”. He has played before sold out concerts all over the world and is currently on tour, but has announced a new album for this year on his blog.

This is truly a great guitarist. Just doing a search for him now and found this…Nice to know that I am not the only one searching for this guy. I am hoping he comes to Japan someday so I can get him recorded over here.

Andy Mckee is a nice guitarist. I have not seen this type of guitarist before. He drift guitar like guitar is nothing just a toy for him. Good keep it up.

I never heard anything about Andy.But I love the guys who play guitar and Andy is one of them.
And I saw the Andy and he is the superb.

I saw him in concert in Liverpool a couple of months back, he was great.
Unfortunately the two guys supporting him weren’t quite so good…
